A live concert might only attract young music fans, but a carnival will attract families, couples, and even seniors. More people means more visitors, and that helps local businesses like restaurants and shops.
Also, a carnival can last all day, while a concert usually ends after a few hours. A longer event gives tourists more time to explore the town.
I believe a colorful and exciting carnival will make a better impression on visitors. It will also give everyone a reason to come back again.
