Writing Task 1: Writing an Email

Read the following information.

You work at a community school where all students are adults. You want to invite a speaker from a large volunteer centre to give a talk to your students about volunteering. The talk will help students learn about the benefits of volunteering and the different opportunities available.

Write an email to the speaker in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

  • Describe who you are and your school.
  • Explain what you want the speaker to talk about.
  • Suggest dates and times that work for you.
